yea nader or hatem, the server automatically updated and none of the plugins are working like worldguard and griefers are everywhere and we cat do anything about it

don't worry, being the smart person i am (=P), i anticipated all of this yesterday when notch said 1.4 will be released soon, i knew my server will be auto updated and everything will screw up, i knew worldguard would cease to function and so would every other plugin and that is the reason i have been in the process of downloading server plugins this whole time so i can remake the server... by saying that, i took a complete server backup last night before the server updated, so everything done before 12am GMT+10 last night was saved, everything past that is nullified...


Server will shut down for a few days till i can get new plugins and an updated craftbukkit...

In short, i was expecting this..

I was playing then i was kicked and then connection refused

lol yea, the reason i haven't actually released the new server (with map/regions already there) is coz im waiting for all plugin authors to update their plugins to match the latest bukkit version for minecraft 1.4 to run on, and hence, server will be down for a few days to give plugin authors some time to update.. ill try see some ways around it and see if i can put it up sooner =]

PS greifers: u just wasted your time, on a side note, if i get spare time, i will go through the server u destroyed and ip ban every single one of u

Wow Nader ur the best! Well now we have a good picture of who Griefs, and if I didn't realize, I should have known u better That u had a back up. So I took extra mesure cose I love this server! Ya soo should I delete this post????? If u see this then probably delete it and ya!

and thx for doing this =P... i normally don't do backups, its that i was just observant yesterday and i hinted on Notches blog something about 1.4, so i made a server backup that night expecting the server to be fked tommorow or a few days after that , i was planning on making a backup everynight till the update =P...

i had good timing...

Thanks for keeping this thread up, reading this answered all the questions I had about what was going on with the server !

I felt bad for the people that got there house destroyed, so me and pretty much everyone.
so i hope Nader you can ban there ip's when you get the time

Nader told us that he made a backup of the server before people were able to destroy each other's work. This means that, when the server is brought back online again, everything will be intact again and all items should be where they were.
