Andy's Guide to Minecraft for newbies

So you are just starting ? This tutorial shall give you the basics of The server.

What do i do?
First you most go to quarry to get money to buy your first lot you can sell items to gain it such as cobblestone diamonds iron and etc.

you may go back to that point anytime you want by typing /spawn
First follow the sign to quarry

follow it the road to quarry takes a LONG TIME to walk. /warp quarry does not work anymore i believe it is just for VIP which you can get by donating 8$ per month.

Congratulations on reaching quarry this is where you can mine some people even build here but i would just build a temporary shelter as it can get easily destroyed by griefers. So don't spend to much time on it and just get enough money to buy a lot. Also you can lock chests and furnaces by typing /cprivate and clicking the furnace or chest. I would just gather materials and and sit back and wait for a zoner.

Buying your first Lot

First Type /rm list to find out the current lots for sale

We can tell a few things from this picture
1. The coders are terrible at adjusting the columns
2. The person who is selling the lot the amount it costs the region of the lot and whether your bidding on it or if you can buy it instantly instantly is true bidding is false.

Stuff you shouldn't do

Do not place cobblestone as you will get kicked the reason is well it looks ugly and the owners want to keep it nice and tidy.
Don't place obsidian unless it is for decoration!
Don't grief (self Explanatory)

Stuff you should do
Have FUN!!! Yes it is a rule if you don't you will get a ban hammer to the face.
And help the poor newbies out

WTF I got a diamond from stone!?!?
You have a chance of getting stuff such as red stone mossy cobblestone iron gold and even diamond when hitting a block.

How do i buy/sell items????

You can do this by typing /sell (Item) (amount) EX: /sell diamond 10
if you don't know how much you have and just want to sell everything type something like this EX: /sell redstone 10000000
To find out prices type /slist 1 and for the second page type /slist 2 and so on.]
Or you could do /scheck (item) such as/scheck Diamond
in order to sell just type /buy (item) (amount) EX: /buy wool 10
To check how much money type /money

Etiquette
When a Zoner comes on make sure to Mobnot mob him unless its underurbed then feel free.
Zoners CAN NOT expand your land that you have so don't ask.
If its something besides needing a lot like you want to share one with a friend let him give the people who need lots first and then ask him.
Mailing

You can mail people who are not on by typing this /mail send (name) (msg)
You can read your mail by type /mail read and once your done you can clear it by typing /mail clear.

Donating

and please remember, if u donate 8$ a month, you get VIP rights on the server!
Benefits include:
multiple warps!
Instant warp to quarry!
using the command /up (makes a glass block under above u and teleports u on it =0!)
ability to quest
ability to redeem codes
using the command /jump (instantly jump from one location to where your pointing at)
instant warp to quarry

If u donates 15$ a month you get Moderator rights on the server!
advantages include:
ability to tp people to you using /tphere (playername)
ability to teleport to location by punching at where u want to go!
ability to change time from night to day using /time day or viseversa
ability to instantly teleport wherever u point at
+VIP advantages

Additional

You can save a location by typing /home set this allows you to return to that location by typing /home you can also invite other people by typing
/home invite (name)
also there is a /help command

well done! I'd suggest adding the /shopcheck [item] command though as Underurbed suggested already, it's quite useful .

Hey what operating system are you running Vista or 7?

(I'm curious because I am a hardcore computer software guy!!)
